The Department of Education Schools Division Office of Urdaneta City (SDOUC) is currently headed by Schools Division Superintendent Aguedo C. Fernandez, CESO V and Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Ma. Criselda G. Ocang, CESO VI. It is classified under the medium division category. The Schools Division Office located at Barangay San Vicente, is composed of 64 public and 19 private schools.
The Division, true to its mantra “Home of Proactive and Productive Professionals” upholds its ideals in producing proactive and productive teaching and non-teaching staff to eventually produce competent and high performing learners across learning areas in all grade levels. It continues to provide the necessary services learners need in order to meet the learning competencies they ought to acquire.
The DepEd SDO of Urdaneta City is committed to achieving a transformative and comprehensive education system for sustainable development by 2028. This ambitious goal entails actively engaging citizens in community transformation efforts and ensuring the presence of proactive and productive professionals across all educational domains. As part of its strategic direction, the division will focus on several key areas, including education for sustainable development in Urdaneta City, expanding access to basic education, promoting equity among learners, enhancing the resilience and well-being of students, improving the quality and relevance of basic education, and enhancing governance efficiency. These efforts are aimed at fostering the development of well-rounded individuals equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to thrive in an ever-changing world.
